In Broad Chalk, two miles down the road, there is a bustling, well-stocked village shop and cafe which is a community enterprise run by local volunteers. Great for lunch-time snacks and local re-provisioning.
The area has numerous excellent local pubs, the nearest being the Horseshoe Inn at Ebbesbourne Wake, This is an award-winning local pub, serving local ales and excellent home-cooked food. The Queen’s Head at Broad Chalk and The White Hart at Bishopstone are also welcoming local pubs with good food menus.
